Green Today For Tomorrow®

At Isagenix, we’re committed to doing what’s right for the planet today, so our children have a healthier tomorrow. That means increasing our sustainability efforts and reducing our carbon footprint.

Our Commitment to the Planet

Our goal is zero-waste packaging. No doubt ambitious, but one we’re confident we can accomplish.

OUR FOCUS AREAS
  • Choose Better: Use materials with a past life whenever possible.
  • Use Less: Minimize packaging while ensuring product arrives at your doorstep safely.
  • Be Responsible: Continually innovate by looking for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint through our vendor/partner companies and reduce the distance between our distribution centers and your home.

Our Commitment to You

We’re making great strides to impact lasting change in our world. We know we’re not perfect, but we’re making progress. Here’s what we’re doing:

Eco-Friendly Packaging

We’re reducing what goes in the landfill by introducing 100% plant-based fiber scoops in all IsaLean® Shakes and a good portion of our smaller jar products, transitioning all shake canisters to 100% PCR plastic, eliminating shrink wrap on most products, and removing plastic neckbands.

Plant-Based Products

We’re generating fewer greenhouse gas emissions by continuing to invest in bringing more plant-based options to market. Plant-Based IsaLean® Protein Bar in Chocolate Fudge Brownie and Cinnamon Churro are among the favorite flavors in the plant-based line.

Zero Waste

We’re partnering with a certified carbon-neutral manufacturer that exceeds the highest standards for sustainability in technology and manufacturing processes. Adaptogen Elixir and Collagen Elixir™ are among the first zero-waste products.

Our Commitment to Ethical Sourcing

Since 2002, we’ve sourced most of our dairy from suppliers in New Zealand to meet and maintain our high-quality standards. To support the growing demand for our products, we expanded to using quality suppliers in Australia and the northwestern United States that align with our no-compromise quality standards. Our Commitment at Home

At our home office, we are committed to ongoing research and innovation aimed at minimizing our environmental impact:
  • LEED-Certified: The building’s exterior is LEED-certified, showing our commitment to green design principles.
  • Solar Powered: Solar panels power 25% of the building, helping us harness clean energy from the sun.
  • EV Charging Stations: Three onsite charging stations are free to employees with eco-friendly vehicles.

COMMON QUESTIONS

PCR is a material made from plastic products previously used by consumers, collected by recycling centers, and turned into reusable plastic resin pellets.

Instead of creating new plastic, which taps more fossil fuels and uses large amounts of energy, we invested in PCR plastic to reduce our environmental impact.
Our bar wrappers are not yet recyclable, but we are working on it.
This depends on your area’s recycling facility. Some facilities have the ability to process plastic with the labels still attached, while others require their removal. Check with your local recycling facility’s requirements.
Usually, yes, but this depends on your area’s recycling facility. Check with your local recycling facility’s requirements. Always clean out empty canisters before recycling.
Air pillow packaging protects products during shipping. Air pillows take up any empty space in a shipping box, which helps prevent the box and the enclosed products from being crushed.

We are always looking for new ways to make our packaging more sustainable. Fortunately, air pillows can be punctured to let the air out. In many communities, they can also be recycled with other plastic bags and dropped off at recycling containers in select grocery stores.
We set a goal to convert all packaging components to recyclable, reusable, compostable, or recycled materials.

This is an ambitious stretch goal. We know it won’t be easy. Nevertheless, through advancements in sustainable packaging and the adoption of recycling technologies in communities across the world, we aim for all our packaging components to be recycled or recyclable in some way.
As we transition to zero-waste packaging, we will indicate that a sustainable change was made to a package by adding a green leaf symbol. For example, our PCR canisters have this logo on the bottom to indicate that the canister is made of 100 percent PCR plastic.
All our canisters are made of recycled plastics. Almost all communities accept these canisters in the curbside recycling bin, which is why we don’t provide a send-back recycling program. The energy required to ship empty canisters back to us, in addition to the emissions produced from shipping, negatively impact the environment versus recycling canisters locally.
